The accounting firm Aleksandar.AK participated as a partner at the Fair for Digitalization, Accounting Software and AI Tools, held as part of the 3rd Regional Conference for Accountants, organized by the Institute of Accountants and Certified Accountants (ISOS). The event took place on May 6, 2026.
The event was attended by more than 1,000 participants from the financial industry, accounting firms, companies, and institutions, as well as academic experts and business decision-makers from Macedonia and the surrounding regions.
Discussions focused on the future of accounting, digital transformation, and innovative AI solutions. The conference was organized under the slogan “Generation with Vision – Profession with a Future” and opened important discussions about modernizing the accounting profession, process automation, the role of artificial intelligence, and the need for greater efficiency, transparency, and a more strategic approach to financial operations.
As part of the conference, representatives from institutions, professional organizations and the business sector spoke about the changes the accounting profession is going through in a period of accelerated digitalization.
The conference opened important topics about the future of the accounting profession
The President of ISOS, Vesna Prentoska, emphasized that accounting today has a much broader role than the traditional recording of numbers, and that the profession is increasingly becoming a key part of business decision-making, building trust and supporting companies in the modern economic environment.
In his address, the Minister of Digital Transformation, Stefan Andonovski, highlighted that the true value of digitalization is seen when companies and professionals gain faster processes, fewer administrative barriers, and more space for analysis, consulting, and development.
During the panel discussions, special emphasis was also placed on:
- the role of AI tools in everyday work,
- the automation of administrative processes,
- compliance with international standards,
- and the need for accounting to continue developing as a modern, digital and strategic profession.
